Primary School

    • Before Primary School, kids must attend Kindergarten from age 5 to 6 before moving to the Elementary School.
    • Primaries schools are called "Dimotiko", a carryover term from a time when such schools were run by local communities, spanning six years (aged 6 to 12, first grade to sixth grade).
    • A normal school day starts at 8:15 AM and finishes at 1:15 PM. The classes last between 45 and 90 minutes with 3 breaks. The school year always starts on September 11 and ends on June 15.
