Higher Education

    • Higher Education includes Universities and specialist Academies.
    • The universities are bachelor-level-granting, master-level-granting, integrated-master-level-granting, and doctorate-level-granting institutions.
    • In addition to earning an academic degree in specific disciplines only, a state license is required to work within the country of Greece, and some disciplines have further licensing requirements to bestow a recognized appellation.
Register to Higher Education

Students should log in to eregister by entering their 8-digit exam code and the same password as they used to submit the application documents electronically through the national admission platform managed by the Hellenic Ministry of National Education and Religious Affairs.

After that, you also have to print and send the documents to the same government authority. We have been talking about these application documents, but what do they contain exactly? Here is the essential list:

  1. Application form
  2. Photocopy of the certificate of equivalence of the candidate’s graduation certificate issued by the local Greek authority in your country (Embassy, Consulate)
  3. Transcript of records with your GPA
  4. A photocopy of the graduation certificate with an official Greek translation
  5. ID card type photograph
  6. Proof of language skills (English, Greek)
Lifelong Learning in Nea Smyrni

Lifelong Learning (LLL) is considered a policy priority in Europe. It is strongly linked to a person’s employment, prosperity and full participation in society. The challenges placed today by the ageing population, the skills and competences deficit of the workforce and the global competition are further enhanced by the ongoing financial crisis and thus, highlight the crucial role of Lifelong Learning in addressing these issues.

The law (Law Nr. 3879/2010) on Lifelong Learning that was voted by the Greek Parliament in September 2010 sets the basis for the planning and implementation of a national holistic strategy on lifelong learning and for the creation of the National Network of Lifelong Learning (NNLL), which encompasses all LLL governing bodies and LLL service providers operating under the auspices of different ministries.

Modern People's University
